Air China is the oldest airline operating in China and operates the greatest number of routes out of the country. It has its main hub in Beijing. Air China is a member of the Star Alliance airline alliance. Air China offers First, Business and Economy class on all of its international routes. First and Business Class passengers departing from Beijing for Hong Kong and selected other destinations are able to take advantage of Air China’s Catering Reservation Service. This enables passengers to choose the meal that they would like on their flight and to book it by calling Air China before 4pm on the day preceding the flight.
Air China’s loyalty programme is called Companion. Membership is available to all passengers aged 12 years and above. The membership levels available are Platinum, Gold, Silver and Regular. All members may earn points to gain free flights and ticket upgrades. Benefits available to those with Silver membership or above include an additional baggage allowance, lounge access and priority check in.
