The circuit of the massive Annapurna range via Mannang Valley is one of the classic walks in Nepal. It includes everything trekking in Nepal has to offer. Highest mountain passes, deepest valleys in the world, the desert of the Tibetan plateau, pine forests, rice fields, monasteries and people as diverse as Tibetan Lamas and Hindu farmers. After driving from Kathmandu to Gorkha, we walk up the lush Marsyandi Valley into the Mannang region, greeted by the villages and monasteries of its Tibetan like people. Stunning views of Annapurna, Gangapurna and the glacier dome! Crossing the Thorung La Pass 17,700 ft. rewards us with sights that makes trekking such a special experience. From here we descend to Muktinath, a sacred shrine and pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. After spending some time here we'll trek down the deep gorge of the Kali Gandaki Valley, one of the deepest valley in the world. Annapurna 26,400 ft. and Dhaulagiri 26,800 ft. tower 4 miles above the valley floor.
